We couldn’t be prouder of Connect’s Reg Morrow Robinson as she again takes the stage at EMDRIA’s annual conference; this time  alongside Mara Tesler Stein and Lisa Kraml in Anaheim, California. Their presentation, “EMDR Group Training with Perinatal Trauma,” will take place on Sunday August 23, 2026 from  8am-11:30am (Session 541). The collaboration brings together expertise in EMDR Group Therapy, perinatal trauma, and innovative approaches to supporting individuals during one of life’s most profound transitions.

For Reg, this presentation is another opportunity to build momentum within the field of EMDR Early Interventions (EEI) and group interventions. One of the many benefits of EMDR group therapy is the ability to expand access to effective trauma treatment for those who might not otherwise receive needed support. With EMDR group therapy, there is immense potential for healing amongst the often overlooked and underserved women and families experiencing perinatal trauma.

One of the benefits of group is the sense of shared purpose and mutual support. That same ethos informs Reg’s commitment to collaboration and advocacy within the larger international EMDR community, where her passion for nurturing strong networks shines. She has presented both solo and jointly at many EMDRIA conferences and international early intervention gatherings on topics including disaster response and the evolving applications of EMDR Group Therapy. Her work reflects something we see every day at Connect: Reg is never content to simply teach what has always been done. She is continually anticipating where the field is going next and considering how she can help bring the clinicians she teaches with her toward the future.

It’s one thing to dream about new destinations, but another entirely to create a roadmap for others to follow.  Reg’s co-edited book, EMDR Group Therapy: Emerging Principles and Protocols to Treat Trauma and Beyond, is a clear and detailed roadmap for any clinician who is curious about exploring the potential of group EMDR. The book explores the growing possibilities of EMDR Group Therapy and how group protocols can be applied across populations, settings, and clinical needs. It is an excellent resource for clinicians interested in expanding their understanding of group-based EMDR protocols and interventions. Connect also offers advanced, virtual trainings on the EMDR Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) and EMDR Group Traumatic Episode (G-TEP) protocols. These are led by Reg Morrow Robinson and Bill Brislin.

At Connect, we are incredibly proud to see Reg continuing to contribute her knowledge, experience, and forward-thinking perspective to the field. Her latest EMDRIA presentation is another example of the work she has always championed: staying curious, embracing emerging possibilities, and helping clinicians think creatively about how EMDR Therapy can reach the people who need it.

Congratulations, Reg! We can’t wait to see what you bring to this conversation.
