🧠🌟 New study alert!
A network meta-analysis of psychological interventions for children and adolescents after natural and man-made disasters.
Exciting new research published in BMH Psychiatry suggests EMDR is the most effective intervention for reducing PTSD symptoms in children and adolescents with PTSD at post-intervention and follow-up.
The study, led by Xie, Y., Zhu, X., Wang, L. et al. focused on the efficacy of EMDR, ET, and CBT for use with children following natural and man-made disaster.
“Based on the included studies in this NMA, EMDR was found to have the greatest effectiveness at postintervention and follow-up and should be recommended.”
This study adds to the body of research that supports EMDR as an effective and trusted approach and validates what many EMDR therapists are experiencing in their clinical practices: EMDR offers hope and healing for children, allowing them to overcome trauma and build brighter, healthier futures.
